Family Tree Maker Marriage Index: Selected Counties of Louisiana, 1718-1925 (#1) This Family Archive contains indexes to approximately 285 326 marriage records from 58 selected parishes (counties) in Louisiana. Records begin as early as 1718 in St. Helens Parish. There are no records for any parishes for the years 1719-1727 and 1729-1733. After 1734, there is a general increase in records throughout the state, and the collection continues into the mid-1900s. Most of these records were compiled from court house marriage records.

For pre-1850 marriages, it is better to use Family Archive 227 because it is more comprehensive for that time period. Family Archive 227 does include everything that is available on Family Archive 1.

You can get the following information from Family Archive 1: A marriage date, the name of each spouse, the county where the marriage was recorded and their Soundex codes. Marriages included may not be exhaustive for the time periods noted.

Family Tree Maker Marriage Index: Selected Counties of Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, 1641-1944 (#3) This Family Archive contains indexes to marriage records for selected counties and years from 114 counties in Alabama (32), and Georgia (82). County records were not used for South Carolina; instead, sources containing marriage records were compiled. Records total approximately 189,665. They begin as early as 1641 and continue to the mid-1900s.

You can get the following information from Family Archive 3: For Alabama and Georgia: A marriage date, the name of each spouse, and their Soundex codes. For South Carolina: A bibliography for a family history about the family and a marriage date, the name of each spouse, and their Soundex codes. Marriages included may not be exhaustive for the time periods noted.

Family Tree Maker Marriage Index: Selected Counties of Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Texas, 1766-1981 (#5) This Family Archive contains indexes to marriage records for selected counties and years from 141 counties in four states: Arkansas (13), Mississippi (2) Missouri (62), and Texas (84). Records total approximately 523,623. They begin as early as 1766 and continue to 1981.

This is one of the few Family Archives that you cannot view with this version of the Family Tree Maker Deluxe Edition. However, you can still access the valuable information in this Family Archive through a DOS application called the GRS. When you purchase this Family Archive, you will automatically receive this DOS application and instructions for using it.

Family Tree Maker Marriage Index: Maryland 1655-1850 (#224) This Family Archive contains 258,000 individuals who were married in Maryland between 1655 and 1850. Calvert county burned in 1882 and is not included nor are Garrett, Howard and Wicomico counties since they were formed after 1850.

You can get the following information from Family Archive 224: The name of each spouse, the marriage date, the county where the marriage was recorded, the repository where a copy of the original record can be found and the Soundex code for each spouse's name.

Records indexed may not be comprehensive for the time and region covered.

You can get the following information from Family Archive 225: The name and sex of each spouse, marriage date, location where the marriage occurred, county and state in which the marriage was recorded and the Soundex code for each individual's name.

Most counties have records beginning in the 1800's. The earliest records are for Effingham County (1754).

Family Tree Maker Marriage Index: Selected areas of New York 1639-1916 from Kinship (#401) This CD contains marriage information from selected areas of New York for approximately 152,000 individuals. The CD includes some of the earliest known church and government marriage information, from 1639, and continues through the 18th and 19th centuries. Marriage information may not be comprehensive for the time and region covered.

You can generally get the following information from Family Archive CD #401: Location where the marriage was recorded (100%), Publication in which the record appears (100%), Soundex code of each individual (100%), Name of both spouses (84%), year of the marriage (90%).
